I have had braces on for quite some time and they are supposed to be removed in less than a week. I can’t wait! But, I noticed that I am now getting some of my adult teeth coming in. Will this delay them taking my braces off?

It is difficult to give you a straight answer without knowing your history and analyzing your situation. That said, I’m guessing that the eruption of your new teeth is of no surprise to your dentist. They were most likely showing in the initial x-rays that were done prior to your treatment.
If your adult teeth seem to be coming in straight than there likely will be no problems. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if your dentist or orthodontist suggests a retainer be worn. This will ensure that your newly straightened teeth remain unaffected by your new teeth coming in.
