My two front teeth are very large and long. They just look really big and they protrude out more than the rest of my teeth. I don’t like the way they look. I really want them to look smaller. I’ve been looking into cosmetic dentistry and I don’t know the right way to go. I definitely don’t want anything that may make my teeth look bigger than they already are.
Can you make any recommendations? Maybe I should have them extracted and replaced with dental implants? What do you think?
I’m ready to look in the mirror and like the way my smile looks.

Please don’t get your teeth taken out. Go meet with a cosmetic dentist. There are many qualified, expert cosmetic dentists in your area. They will be able to make some specific recommendations in a face-to-face consultation.
It is difficult to make suggestions without actually seeing you, but based on what you have described there are a couple options.
There are diamond tools available that can trim your teeth down which can make them appear smaller. They can be trimmed down both on the sides and on the biting edge to make them shorter. The use of these diamond burs or strips coupled with a retainer will reposition them into alignment with the rest of your front teeth.
Another option is Invisalign. After they have been shaped and trimmed, these invisible braces could put your teeth back into alignment.
If your teeth are extremely big and do require a lot of trimming, then porcelain veneers may be needed. There could be some dentin that needs to be covered up and the veneers would work well.
Any dentist can say they are a cosmetic dentist, so make sure you find a true cosmetic dentist. You want to find one that has an artistic nature and truly is passionate about the artistry of creating beautiful smiles.
I hope this information was helpful.
