Dr. Whitmore and our team of advanced dental care experts understand that the replacement of missing teeth is about more than dental health. Replacing teeth with implant secured dentures, or upgrading to implant secured New Face Dentures improves your quality of life.

With implant secured dentures, you get your time back. Gone is the worry over social occasions, eating with others, or photos with your family. With implant secured dentures you can speak, eat and smile again with confidence.

Dr. Whitmore has completed decades of advanced, post-doctoral education for the replacement of missing teeth. He has placed thousands of dental implants and is one of the most experienced dentists in the great state of Texas.

What are Implant Secured New Face Dentures?

Implant Dentures at Whitmore Dental

An implant secured denture is supported by and attached directly to several dental implants. This approach allows for a more secure fit improving chewing power, and replacing multiple missing teeth. Many of our patients elect to have the implant secured New Face Dentures. This is because New Face Dentures use the most innovative approach for fit. The result is dentures that fit directly on top of bones in your mouth, filling out your face for a more youthful appearance, and allowing for greater durability.

Types of Implant Secured Dentures

Dr. Whitmore uses two types of implant secured dentures. These are:

  • Ball-retained dentures – Also called stud-attachment dentures, these have a metal attachment in the implant that fits into another attachment on the denture. The attachment on the implant is ball-shaped and fits into a socket on the denture.
  • Bar-retained dentures – This is a metal bar that follows your jaw and attaches two to five implants. The denture fits over the bar and is clipped into place by attachments.

As with any denture, care for implant secured dentures must be removed and cleaned daily.

To learn if implant secured New Face or traditional dentures are a good option for you, please call Janet, our patient care coordinator at 972-985-1580 or email us via the contact form on this site.
