I don't like drills. Are there other options?

We frequently use air abrasion to remove areas of decay in a tooth. Air abrasion is quiet and so minimally invasive that most patients don’t require an anesthetic. Read more about air abrasion and other revolutionary technologies in our patient library.

I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?

We offer various options, depending on your situation. For an immediate appearance improvement without the time and financial investment of braces, we might recommend custom-made, all-porcelain veneers. To correct misaligned teeth, Dr. Whitmore often uses Invisalign. Our patient library has articles on veneers and Invisalign.

I'm worried about being uncomfortable during my dental treatments. Is there anything you can do?

Of course. Our advanced technology allows us to work quickly and efficiently with your comfort in mind. Tools like air abrasion, lasers, and DIAGNOdent are minimally invasive, more precise, and often painless.

We also offer anesthetic options to help you relax during treatment, starting with nitrous oxide. For the extremely fearful, we provide oral conscious sedation during treatment. Please let us know of your concerns, and we'll decide together on the method that will work best for you.

The Snore Guard, which we offer in our office, has helped many people alleviate snoring and enjoy peaceful rest. Dr. Whitmore uses a Snore Guard himself, and so do many other dentists.

Breath Rx (brethrx.com) is a system that we recommend (and use) in our Plano office. It's an alcohol-free treatment that comes in an easy-to-use, three-step system and gives you kiss-me breath for up to five hours.
